What does yoga for mental health mean?
Join us to gain valuable insights and tools to enhance your mental well-being through yoga and mindful movement.
In this interactive workshop, you will:
Discover Yoga Styles: Learn about various yoga styles and their benefits for mental health.
Movement Practices: Experience movements rooted in scientific research and traditional Chinese medicine.
Philosophical Insights: Understand yoga philosophy and the role of chakras in mental health.
Practical Techniques: Gain practical tools to use at home or to identify suitable classes.
After each movement practice, we will take time to reflect on your experience through journaling and engaging in a group discussion to find what suits you best.
Please wear comfortable clothes to move in and bring a pen and notebook or paper for reflections.

About your Instructor
May is an experienced yoga teacher from Canada, with a special interest in mental health. She has a BA in Psychology from York University, 200 hr Integrative Yoga Teacher Training, and Yoga Therapeutic training from Yoga Medicine with 55 hr Mental Health, 55 hr in Spine Anatomy & Dysfunction, 25 hr in Female Health Yoga, and 25 hr Yoga for Athletes. Having suffered from depression and anxiety herself, May understands that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, even within yoga, and is passionate about helping women find the right tools for them.
