About this Event
Beyond the Hustle: Centering Mental Health in the Lives of Black Women will empower families by addressing the mental health needs of women.
Specifically, our event offers culturally responsive mental health education through professionally led discussions on mental health, stigma, and practical strategies for stress reduction and emotional resilience. The project also emphasizes whole-person wellness through embodied practices. The workshop will feature wellness sessions on journaling, yoga, mindfulness, and meditation — providing tools that attendees can carry into their daily lives. These somatic and self-reflective practices help restore the nervous system, reduce stress, and reconnect individuals to self and community. We will serve 75–100 participants during a transformative day of education, healing, and empowerment.
This vital initiative is focused on supporting the mental and emotional well-being of Black women who often face barriers to accessing mental health support.
