About this Event
Beyond The Block San Antonio
Derived from “Beyond the Block: Voices from Sing Sing”, this speaker series seeks to amplify the voices and stories of people who are directly impacted by criminalization and incarceration within our communities. We envision a world in which we shoulder together our collective responsibility for compassionate community building through creativity, dialogue, and storytelling.
During this event, we will have 9 system-impacted performers sharing personal narratives and creativity. Throughout the speakers’ discussions, we encourage an open dialogue between attendees and guest speakers to foster connection and relationship building within our San Antonio community.
Free parking will be available at the Radius Center Lot after 7:00 pm. Refreshments and snacks will be offered during the event. Show starts promptly at 7:30 PM, and there will be an opportunity for connecting and engage in conversation after the show.
We welcome anyone interested in supporting a more compassionate, inclusive society to attend. Together, let’s create a space for learning, listening, and reimagining the ways we approach justice in our communities!
