About this Event

For 100 years, the Kosciuszko Foundation has opened doors, built bridges, and shaped the futures of thousands of students, scholars, and artists from Poland and the US. Join us for Beyond Scholarships: 100 Years of the KF’s Mission, a lecture by KF history specialist, Prof. dr hab. Tomasz Pudłocki as he explores the milestones, challenges, and enduring vision that made the Kosciuszko Foundation a cornerstone of Polish American cultural exchange.

No one could have ever predicted that December 1925 would mark such a significant turning point in the history of American-Polish relations. The Kosciuszko Foundation has become one of the most important and prestigious institutions, creating opportunities and changing the futures of thousands of scholars and students from the United States and Poland. It was not without challenges, and the hard work of many visionary people who followed in the footsteps of Stephen P. Mizwa. How the KF has changed over the decades, who stands by its turning points, and why today it is called the American Centre for Polish culture will be just a few topics mentioned during the lecture.
