Contact improvisation is a continuous physical conversation between two bodies.
We learn how to listen and communicate through the body — navigating physical reality: where to go, how to get there, when to stop.
The mechanics of CI are sophisticated: momentum, counterbalance, spirals, skeletal alignment, reflexes, yielding, redirection of force, falling as strategy, touch as information.
The form is grounded in biomechanics and relational physics.
Shared movement does not operate by the same logic as solo movement.
To enter it, we must temporarily suspend our familiar solo pathways and make space for relational ones.
Only then can directions emerge that no single body could generate alone.
We focus on the capacity to listen through the skin, to negotiate weight responsibly, to compose in real time, and to remain present within unpredictability.
Every point of contact is a negotiation. Every fall is a shared decision.
A small shift of weight reorganizes the entire duet.
Our work approaches movement from an embodied perspective.
We often begin with slower, deep individual exploration and gradually open toward more dynamic and complex partnering.
Each session includes solo work, bodywork into dance, duo, trio, and group constellations — always supporting the theme of the day.
Experience comes first.
At times, we may introduce conceptual or systemic perspectives to clarify what is happening physically — but understanding grows primarily through sensation and practice.
Each session builds progressively.
Commitment to the full cycle is essential.
By the end of the intensive, participants will gain:
– confidence entering contact jams
– the ability to organise under shared weight
– responsiveness without pre-planning
– softness without collapse
– strength without force
Language: English.
If the group consists entirely of Hungarian participants, the working language may shift accordingly.

I am a dancer, movement researcher, teacher, and bodyworker.
Dance has been part of my life since childhood. I trained in folk dance, gymnastics, ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance, and spent five years in daily company training with Béla Földi. During this time, I was introduced to Contact Improvisation, which gradually became a central focus of my practice.
I have worked as a performer and creator in various independent associations, and at Csiky Gergely Theatre as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer.
In parallel, I deepened my studies in movement therapy and manual techniques, specializing in fascia-based bodywork.
Currently, I perform and teach Contact Improvisation and improvisation, lead jams, organize workshops, and co-organise KontaktLand Festival.
My work integrates somatics, embodied research, and high-level physical engagement.
