This training is for professionals who provide support to individuals who are experiencing mental health and/or addiction issues, as well as those involved in policy or program development in these areas.
Join Rideauwood's Manager of Clinical Practice, Amanda Neilson, for an interactive training that covers:
- Understanding addiction using a biopsychosocial approach
- Exploring the connection between trauma and substance use
- Using harm reduction to support change
Learning objectives:
- Have the most up-to-date understanding of problematic substance use
- Be able to confidently incorporate trauma-informed care principles into their day-to-day interactions with people who may be struggling
