About this Event
Join us for a collaborative training in which we’ll explore how relational dynamics shape our interactions with the rules and examine how these influences impact our supervisory roles and decisions.
Rooted in curiosity and self-compassion, this training will offer guided discussions, reflective exercises, and group activities to explore what unfolds for us as we encounter authority from licensing boards, professional associations, field influencers and internalized authority figures.
Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Name the reactions and responses that arise when they encounter authority in clinical supervision and describe growth opportunities that emerge from these experiences.
- Identify opportunities to deepen their capacity for reflexivity, considering how their relationship with authority influences the support they provide to their supervisees and how they might foster a culture of critical engagement with the rules
- Describe strategies to engage more relationally and intentionally with the rules, norms, and standards they must adhere to, fostering a balance between compliance and authentic supervisory practices.
3 Supervision CEUs
Please note that questions about the interpretation and application of specific rules pertaining to clinical practice are outside the scope of this training and will not be addressed.
