Beyond Bars is a "justice" impact podcast hosted by comedians Kathryn Gongaware (Laugh Factory, Pr*son Yoga Chicago), Felonious Munk (Comedy Central, ABC's For Life) & Khiry Johnson (Second City, Peace Circle), shedding light on conversations that live in the dark. Nine months in, they’ve had multiple clips pass the million mark and have hosted guests including Sharone Mitchell Jr (Chicago’s Public Defender), Anthony Fain (30 Years Unconscious), and Amanda Seales (Smart, Funny, & Black).
Beyond Bars is going LIVE for a special event, where they’ll feature community, culture, comedy and carceral conversation. Expect inspiring stories, thought-provoking conversations, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at our episodes. We’ll be talking about the issues that matter most—stories of empowerment, resistance, and hope—alongside special guest speakers and live Q&A!
