Dani Cole's debut poetry collection comes as a heartfelt celebration of—and eulogy for—the trees in our life. Cole fluently interweaves quiet contemplations with urgently disjointed rhythms, combining emphatic fervor with a profound love for the world around them. Drawing on their background as a dancer, writer, creative arts therapist, and tree caretaker, Cole reminds us of the delicate bodies and ecosystems upon which we all depend.
Join us at Pageant in Williamsburg as we celebrate the release of Between Heart and Sap **on Saturday, February 22nd. Doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7. Dani will be reading from the book with musical performances by Tan-lin Li drawn from the partly-musical audiobook. Special guests Quinta Myricks and Marina Tsaplina will join us to celebrate!
Entry is $15 or $20 including a signed copy of the book. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Reserve your free ticket on eventbrite and pay at the door!
