Following the success of our recent BetterMan charity cricket match against Prime Minister Chris Luxon, and a smattering of All Blacks and other sporting legends, we're now turning our attention to football.The game will be a celebration of community football and include Football Development Officers from various clubs, a selection of players from the Canterbury United Pride women's team, and a handful of sports stars from Black Caps to All Blacks, Black Sticks to Commonwealth Games wrestlers.
Given the amazing work that Centre Circle do - they're a local football charity that provide a helping hand to support the local football community, particularly helping young players and clubs with financial assistance - we'll be raising funds for them.
Entry is free, and we encourage families to come down with their children as we'll have kids games happening on the practice pitch and will look to play a kids vs adult game.
We are hoping to have a BBQ, lolly scramble, and ice cream truck on site too, so keep an eye on this event page as we confirm those details in the coming weeks.
