Want to make help our area better to bicycle? Well here is your opportunity. This is the first in a series of three 2 hour workshops to help us plan our cycling advocacy campaigns for 2026. Be part of a group working through a series of steps as detailed in the Better Street Campaign Handbook to unpack and plan your campaign.
The workshop will kick off with an inspiring presentation by Penny Small - who will share some of the secrets to her group's success in creating the Beach to Beach Shared Path. After narrowing down our shortlist of campaigns we will break into groups to work through steps 1-4 of the Better Streets Campaign Handbook. Possible campaigns include - wayfinding signage on key cycle routes, safe storage of bikes a shopping centres, Town to Googik Path and more. Come with your ideas, insights and enthusiasm.
Tea and biscuits provided.
Open to all - but members have preference and spaces limited
Cost: first workshop free but join if attending subsequent workshops.
Best to commit to all 3 to make the most of it.
