Aliquando Chamber Choir’s concert on the 23 November is in aid of Bluebells Day Centre in Henley. Bluebells Day Centre provides social engagement, activities and care for people living with Dementia and related disabilities. Bluebells also provides Respite Care so those who care for people with Dementia can have the time they need. The concert, entitled ‘Bethlehem – That Noble Place’ presents the Christmas story through the music of JS Bach – Magnificat in D, with pieces by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Hassler as well as Patrick Hawes ‘Nativity’ and Cornelius ‘The Three Kings’. Soloists - Soprano Meryl Davies, Mezzo Soprano Rosemary Clifford,Tenor Alex Haig and Bass Baritone Daniel Tate. With Orchestra led by Amanda Sadler and Continuo, Ian Westley, Conductor, Anne Evans. The concert will be held at St Mary’s Church, Henley-on-Thames and starts at 7pm, doors open at 6pm.
