The Brighton Beach Boys are an award winning band who specialise in forensic recreations of classic recordings starting from their shared love of the Beach Boys.This gig sees them recreate The Beach Boys hits including ‘God Only Knows’. ‘I get around,’ Surfin’ Safari’,' Little Deuce Coupe,’ and lots more. Brian Wilson, the visionary force behind the Beach Boys, revolutionized popular music through groundbreaking production techniques and sophisticated compositions. As the band's principal songwriter, arranger, and producer, Wilson transformed the recording studio into an instrument itself, culminating in the ground-breaking "Good Vibrations"—a "pocket symphony" that pushed the boundaries of recording technology.
His masterpiece, "Pet Sounds" (1966), redefined pop music with its complex arrangements and emotional depth, influencing artists like The Beatles, who cited it as inspiration for "Sgt. Pepper." Wilson's innovative use of unconventional instruments, novel microphone placements, and intricate vocal harmonies set new standards for music production.
The band members are Glen Richardson on keyboards, and vocals, Steve Wrigley on bass guitar and vocals, Ade Marshall on guitar and Vocals, Jono Harrison on guitar, Tom Arnold on keyboards, Charlotte Glasson on saxes, flutes, etc and Tom White on drums. Collectively they have played all over the world, including performances with Oasis, The Divine Comedy, The Waeve, Lost and Found Orchestra, Electric Soft Parade, etc
