About this Event
The Best Adapted Book Club focuses on books on their way to becoming award-season films. April's pick is Revenge Wears Prada, Lauren Weisberger's deliciously dramatic follow-up to The Devil Wears Prada, where ambition, friendship, and fashion collide. This time, with higher stakes (and better shoes).
Set years after Andy Sachs escapes the clutches of Miranda Priestly, Revenge Wears Prada finds Andy on the brink of everything she thought she wanted (until the past comes strutting back in couture). Sharp, addictive, and full of behind-the-scenes publishing and fashion-world intrigue, it's a perfect pick as the story heads toward its next on-screen life. The Devil Wears Prada 2 is scheduled to be released on May 1.
We will meet in person in the loft at our store at The Mark, 117 S. Pineapple Ave. The book club is $20, which is the cost of your copy of Revenge Wears Prada to be picked up at Bookstore1 any time before our meeting.
