About this Event
We are excited to announce that we will break ground for our new Bay Area Animal Resource Center in May! The BAARC will be located at our current Adoption Center, 2700 Ninth St. In preparation for construction, we have shifted to a foster-based adoption program. We are currently not onboarding volunteers for on-site animal care roles.
You are required to obtain an Eventbrite ticket to attend this orientation
Whether walking dogs, socializing with cats, taking photos, greeting people at our Thrift Shop, or chairing events—dedicated volunteers are integrated into our daily operations so we can save more lives than we otherwise could!
This one-hour session is your first step in volunteering at Berkeley Humane! You'll learn about our organization, available volunteer opportunities, and how to get started as a volunteer.
Volunteers between the ages of 12 and 15 must be accompanied by a registered parent or legal guardian.
All volunteers are asked to make a minimum commitment of 8 hours per month for 6 months.
Community service volunteers and those completing volunteer hours for school are accepted on a case-by-case basis. If you have required volunteer hours to complete, please contact [email protected] for more information.
