Berimbau: The Voice of Capoeira, A Maker's Workshops

Join us for this two-day workshop in Houston, Texas. We are excited to bring Mestre Cocada of Arte Reviver to Houston to share from his deep knowledge about capoeira. During this workshop, you will learn

• The process for making a berimbau
• Tips for how to ensure your berimbau is a high-quality instrument
• A way to prepare arame for your berimbau by hand
• A bit about the history of capoeira, its music and berimbaus

This workshop is perfect for capoeiristas, artists and musicians who are interested in traditional art forms, ethnomusicologists and anyone who loves making things by hand. Feel free to share with anyone you know.
