About this Event

The City of Bentonville is partnering with Northwest Medical Center – Bentonville and Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, the sole supplier of blood, platelets, and plasma to patients at 45 area healthcare facilities, to host the second annual Bentonville Community Blood Drive.

The Blood Drive will take place at both Bentonville Fire Station #1 and Northwest Medical Center – Bentonville from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 24.

All donors will receive a limited-edition Kansas City Chiefs T-shirt and can enter to win a game package of two free tickets and a parking pass to the Chief's Dec. 21, 2024, game against the Houston Texans. The game package is valued at $800.

Area leaders are in strong support of this event and have joined with CBCO to voice a unified message intended to save lives.

“I encourage residents and community members to participate in the second annual Bentonville Community Blood Drive," said Bentonville Mayor Stephanie Orman. "By donating blood, you're making a direct impact on the lives of patients in our area hospitals. We're proud to partner with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, the sole provider of blood for Bentonville healthcare facilities, and together we can help save lives through this meaningful event."

Area hospitals are also encouraging community members to make the time to give blood.

“We’re excited to be part of this event again in 2024,” said Rick Naegler, Northwest Health Market Chief Executive Officer. “The importance of blood donations to help our community is essential to our health care mission at Northwest Health. And by keeping these donations in our community, through Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, local donors are able to help their friends and neighbors right here at home.”

Justin Scantlin, Bentonville Fire Department Chief added, “I have seen firsthand how important it is to have blood available in emergency situations. I would like to encourage community members to participate in the Bentonville Community Blood Drive hosted by Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. It takes less than an hour out of your day to be someone’s hero and help save a life. Every blood donation can help as many as three people and has the potential to save the lives of your friends, family, and neighbors.”

To help avoid wait times, appointments are strongly encouraged. Donors can schedule an appointment at www.cbco.org/bentonvillecommunity/ or by calling 417-227-5006.

Photo identification is required. Please eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to the blood drive.
