During this tour, we will take a look at some of the ways Samuel Peel may have mourned his family members based on the standards set by Queen Victoria when her husband, Prince Albert, died in 1861. These practices influenced Americans throughout the Victorian Period and gave rise to a few outlandish practices that seem odd and out of place in today’s world.
