About this Event
Join us on Friday, April 17th at 7pm at The Noshpit Sandwich Bar for an evening of poetry and creative expression. We’ll hear from featured poets Cien, Diego, Jane Belinda, and Raine Ajani. We’ll even write some poetry ourselves with activities like writing on the walls (literally!) and making your own manifestation cards.
This is a fundraiser for our first print anthology, forthcoming Spring 2027. We’ll be announcing the theme and when submissions will open. Sliding scale tickets $10-$20.
After paying our readers (because poets should get paid!), all funds raised will go towards making the anthology happen. You can see a rad poetry show and support a local press at the same time! That's so impressive of you!
Benniefairy Books (pronounced ben-eh-fair-ee) is a Portland, Oregon-based poetry publishing house that prioritizes Black, disabled, and queer writers. Founded by poet Camille T. McDaniel, and later joined by poet Jane Belinda, Benniefairy Books amplifies the perspectives of writers who are often overlooked by mainstream publishers.
