Benjie Porecki is a versatile and virtuosic musician whose career embodies a rich tapestry of influences and styles, including jazz, blues, funk, and R&B. Known as a “musician’s musician,” Porecki's impeccable skills on the B-3 organ, piano, and keyboards have firmly established him as a sought-after collaborator across genres. Hailing from a background steeped in musical tradition, Porecki draws inspiration from iconic legends such as Ray Charles, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Smith, Bill Evans and Billy Preston. His ability to seamlessly blend these diverse influences has enabled him to carve out a unique niche in the music industry.
Over the years, Porecki has released seven critically acclaimed solo albums that showcase his signature sound and artistry. His work as a sideman is equally impressive, featuring contributions to countless recordings and live performances with an array of celebrated artists, including Carlos Santana, Buddy Guy, Pieces of a Dream, Maysa, Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Kirk Whalum, Tom Scott, Nnenna Freelon, Angie Stone and many more. Currently, Benjie Porecki is focused on his latest project, “Faster Than We Know” following the success of his 2025 album, “All That Matters” which spent fourteen weeks on the JazzWeek Radio top 50 list peaking at number 19 and number 93 for the year. As he continues to push boundaries and inspire, Porecki remains a cornerstone of the contemporary music landscape, earning accolades and admiration from fans and fellow musicians alike.
