About this Event
YOU TOO CAN OPEN A GALLERY FOR FUN AND PROFIT
A lecture on the decade-long legacy of INVISIBLE-EXPORTS, as well as an introduction to New Discretions, in which we learn that one can survive by surrounding people smarter than oneself and not being afraid of the extreme.
Benjamin Tischer is a gallerist, curator, facilitator, and art advisor operating under the moniker, New Discretions. Previously, he co-ran INVISIBLE-EXPORTS, a gallery specializing in conceptual work and performance, emphasizing an interest in ideas over objects and an eccentric approach to art and cultural history. He has curated institutional exhibitions at Pioneer Works (Brooklyn); DOX Center for Contemporary Art (Prague); The Carnegie (Covington). He holds a BFA from Columbia College.
