About this Event
Fermented foods are full of flavor and health benefits; however, for some people it takes time to develop a taste for them. They are made by converting sugars and starches that are present in vegetables, fruits, milk, and other foods into organic acids by bacteria and yeast. Examples of fermented foods include raw sauerkraut, kimchi, lacto-fermented pickles, miso, yogurt, and kefir. These foods are alive and teeming with beneficial bacteria that keep our digestive system healthy.
80% of our immunity resides in our gut, thus eating probiotic foods strengthens our immune system. Come and more while enjoying some samples!
