Washed up, middle aged but undeterred, he keeps releasing stuff and touring the world as though nothing has happened - which it hasn't. His entire career.
In any case he's just completed another two month, 17 show tour de farce of Europe (and seen some things), “Bulk Euro”, with the New Ben Salter Support Group feat. long suffering partner Julie© on bass plus Conor Macdonald and Bridget Lewis aka Captain Fighting Machine. That included a Farringdon knees up at the Betsey Trotwood, London; a Birmingham rendezvous with friend and adversary, 19 year old alcoholic super-star Jim E. Brown; fifteen shows across Spain en universidads, tavernas and every sala in between; a moody show in a Berlin kiez with the enigmatic emigre Ned Collette; and a showdown in Stockholm with Gin Club band-mateJan Ola Karlsson and all the lads from heavy psych rockers Grevens Tid. Ooft!
He's also recently curated an exclusive collection of unreleased bits’n’pieces by his reclusive and mysterious friend Richard Tapestry, “Life’s Rich Tapestry”, the latest in an intensive release schedule that's seen some 30 odd albums released over the past 20 years - that no one's ever listened to.
He's back off to MONA Museum for another 6 months in May to hang his head in shame as well as work on more songs and maybe release them because what more can a poor Salt Egg possibly be expected to do?
