Growing up in Perth, Ben Lunt has spent the last few years carving out a heartfelt place within Australia’s indie-folk scene — blending raw storytelling, coastal imagery, and road-worn honesty into songs that feel both intimate and cinematic.
Drawing inspiration from long drives across Australia’s coastline, late-night conversations, and the highs and lows of chasing music independently, Ben has built a growing audience through live performance, social media, and streaming platforms. Tracks like West Coast and Just Like That showcase a sound that sits comfortably between indie-folk, singer-songwriter, and folk-rock influences.
Over the past year, Ben has travelled throughout Australia performing original music in pubs, songwriter nights, ticketed shows, and coastal venues, building a reputation for warm and engaging live sets that balance humour, vulnerability, and singalong moments. 2025 proved to be another strong year for Ben, with the release of two new singles, airplay on Triple J for his track Somersault, a slot at the Nannup Music Festival, an Australian tour, and an appearance on Channel 7 Telethon.
Known for harmonica-fuelled melodies and road-trip imagery throughout his songwriting, Ben continues to capture the wandering spirit that runs through his music. Heading into 2026, he continues building momentum with new stripped-back releases Island, Haven, Home (April) and When It Rains (June) — both exploring themes of long-term love and connection through his personal and heartfelt storytelling style.
