✨ Floor Work Workshop ✨
This workshop focuses on building confidence, control, and fluidity in floor work for dance, with special attention to safe technique and body awareness. Students will begin with a proper warm-up to prepare the joints and muscles, and end with a guided cool-down to support recovery and injury prevention.
Dancers will learn how to safely and gracefully lower to the floor, along with essential floor work movements including the Zipper, Princess Turn, and techniques for traveling on stage from floor to standing with control and ease. Emphasis is placed on smooth transitions, alignment, and adapting movements to different performance spaces.
This workshop is perfect for dancers looking to expand their movement vocabulary, improve stage presence, and add dynamic floor elements to their performances—while learning how to move confidently and safely from start to finish.
What should you wear? Comfortable stretchy clothes for easy movement. You can dance barefoot, with socks or ballet slippers. Bring knee pads. Below is a link of a pair.
