Intro to Mahraganat
Mahraganat has been soaring in popularity in Egypt nightclubs and has since caught on in the rest of the belly dance world. Learn a little bit about the history and cultural context of this fun, upbeat music and dance craze in Egypt as well as some combos to a current Egyptian club hit.
Workshop 2 - 3:30 - 4:30pm
Mad World Choreography
Come learn Liz's most recent personal fusion choreography! This piece explores soft, spiraling movements while floating between beauty and unsettling shapes.

About Liz:
Liz Azi is a multi award-winning dancer based in Denver, Colorado. Her unique style blends primarily American Fusion techniques with modern Egyptian genres. She has toured both regionally and internationally with Blue Star Turkish Folk Dance Troupe performing a variety of traditional Turkish folk dances as well as toured with Disco Iskandar performing 1970s Turkish psychedelica. She has also been a cast dancer in Zoe Jakes' House of Tarot, is a member of Sadie’s Empress Dance Collective, and has been a featured dancer in cabaret, vaudeville, and dance shows all over the country.
