Guild of Middle Eastern Dance 2024 Fall Fundraiser Workshop
Saturday, November 2, at 2:00-3:30 PM, followed by social hour
“Dancing into the Future, Honoring our History”
This an educational presentation of the roots of our dance community in the USA, the movers and shakers who influenced all of us! Learn about the important influences and history of Raqs Sharqi in the USA.
This lecture will be presented by Cassandra Shore, who is part of the living history of Raqs Sharqi dance in America. She has personally studied with some of our American icons. She has given this presentation in several cities and Oasis dance camps in her 50 years of teaching, performing and researching our art.

Jameson’s has graciously offered their special event space for our gathering. We’ll start at 2:00 with the history workshop. After the workshop, we’ll switch to social time, and food and beverage will be available for purchase. We’ll even provide some drink tickets. On-street parking.
