About this Event
Quintessentially Italian for many of us, Tuscany represents the high point of the Italian Renaissance and is now world famous thanks to its picturesque hills and beguilingly simple gastronomy.
It's best known wine, Chianti, is one of the most difficult to pin down due to huge variations in style and quality, but its principal grape, Sangiovese, resspnsible for the more structured, muscular Brunello di Montalcino, offers a brilliant and underrated partner to food.
We'll put this noble vine through its paces at this tasting, alongside the region's frankly underrated whites made from the likes of Trebbiano and Vermentino.
Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
