About this Event
Under the leadership of Scott Kern of KPS Development, join us on a tour of Belle Mont. The 2.53-acre site was formally used as the Dr. R.B. Maury Public School from 1908-1973. The building was demolished in 1997. The property will hold approximately 23 rental apartment units during phase 1 and an estimated 60 units at full build out. The concept focuses on “missing middle” housing by providing a range of unit sizes and amenities designed to enhance livability and build community for all.
Kern and the Development Team are building a series of individual structures around a center courtyard amenity. The design intent is to add neighborhood-scale infill rental housing that is compatible with existing homes and buildings in the established neighborhood.
This exclusive tour will provide an opportunity to hear directly from the Developer and his Team about the challenges faced and unlimited possibilities. Hear lessons learned and come prepared to ask questions about the realities of the development industry right now.
This project received a PILOT from the DMC’s Incentive Toolkit. PILOTs are used to fund smaller-scale projects. If you are interested in a PILOT today, ask us how you can receive one.
The tour has limited space available, so register now.
An optional happy hour will be held at Crosstown Brewery, which is very close to the site immediately following the tour.
