About this Event
Join Detroit Bird Alliance for a post-Thanksgiving car caravan field trip around Belle Isle in partnership with the Belle Isle Nature Center! On this field trip, we'll be looking for the fantastic winter waterbirds that call the Detroit River home. The stretch of the Detroit River that surrounds Belle Isle is home to one of the largest wintering Canvasback Duck populations in North America!
Trip Details:
Park at the Belle Isle Nature Center and then head inside for a chat before we return to our cars and caravan around Belle Isle to different points of interest. At some stops we will take short walks on either paved or gravel trails. Dress appropriately for the weather.
