Bella Rayne is an 18-year-old, self-taught guitar phenom from Mendocino who is on a rocket to the moon as her infectious presence has become ubiquitous on high-profile stages throughout the western hemisphere. It’s one thing to have talent at a young age. Bella has the casual swagger of an old soul on this planet doing what she’s meant to do. Her love for the Grateful Dead, 70s psychedelic rock and 90s grunge has been distilled into her own fresh approach, showing how it pays to have parents with excellent taste in music. Bella’s laser-focused confidence, poise and guitar chops have made here a regular guest shredder at large. If you follow her on social media, you’ll see the who’s who of heavy hitters she’s shared the stage. These include appearances alongside Allman Betts Family Revival, Melvin Seals & JGB, ALO, Jackie Greene, Oteil Burbridge and members of the Terrapin Family Band. She was even touted as “one to watch” by her idol, Susan Tedeschi. In addition, she has been invited to iconic stages nationwide including The Fillmore in San Francisco, The Orpheum in Los Angeles, Sweetwater Music Hall, The Hamilton in Washington D.C. and even celebrated her 18th birthday with a set on the Prudential stage at Bottlerock Napa Festival. Perhaps a moment that stands above them all was when she was entrusted to play Jerry’s legendary “Alligator” guitar.
Bella has since formed her own project, Bella Rayne Band – a high-energy, guitar-driven ensemble featuring a young lineup of season musicians that is filling rooms and venues across the country. If there’s a co-star of the band, it’s certainly Emerson Rose who complements Bella with remarkable vocal talent and stage presence. Their sets are a blend of soulful Southern rock and Grateful Dead reinterpretations. Bella’s own original songs are also beginning to weave their way into the mix.
They have been described as the next generation Tedeschi Trucks Band with an alternative edge and a 70s vibe. The band just finished recording singles for an upcoming EP slated to be released in 2026. With a sound uniquely her own, a growing national presence and a commitment to inspiring the next generation, Bella Rayne is positioning herself not just as a rising guitarist, but as a genuine force in the modern jam-rock and Americana scene.
