About this Event
Join the Redbud Chapter of the California Native Plant Society for a nature journaling hike to Hirschman Pond in Nevada City. Nature journaling is a a time-honored practice of naturalists that focuses attention and deepens our power of observation whether on the trail or in our own backyard. Join Lora Piscitelli, Redbud's Field Trip Chair and Missa Cade, our guest educator, to learn several methods of filling a journal with discoveries. No artistic ability is needed, all levels are welcome!
BRING
- A journal: Any journal book or tablet with a hard cover or backing is fine
- Pencils and pens
- Something to sit on
- Water and a snack
GETTING THERE
Take Hwy 49 west toward Downieville. Turn right onto Cement Hill Road, then left onto 115 Cement Hill Road. Park in parking lot.
REGISTRATION
Open to 15 people. No pets please.
WAIVER
A signed waiver is required. Please complete the online waiver prior to the hike. If you're unable to complete the waiver online, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete a hard copy.
