About this Event
Join us at for activities based on children’s development of language, literacy and physical development, with a combination of researcher-led and self-directed activities for parents and children. Families can learn more about child development research in Northern Ireland, including methods that researchers use, developmental milestones, and real-world applications for child development research.
Hands-on activities
Activities are included for parents and children between the ages of 4 and 12, including a colouring game designed for studying children’s language development, exercises to explore physical development and healthy movement habits, and a discussion for parents on how research leads to policy changes in Northern Ireland, led by network partner Children in Northern Ireland. The activities will be delivered by researchers from institutions across Northern Ireland, including Ulster University and Queen's University Belfast.
