About this Event
Join historian Jason Burke for a unique walking tour which uses key historical sites in Belfast to tell the story of a turbulent and revolutionary period which ultimately led to the partition of Ireland in 1921.
From the brink of civil war in 1914 all the way through to the creation of two parliaments on the island (and much in between), this tour offers a thoroughly researched and balanced account of Ireland's partition from a Belfast perspective.
Meeting at the Beacon of Hope sculpture on Oxford Street (Nuala with the Hula) at 10:15 for a prompt 10:30 departure. This is an outdoor event - please come dressed appropriately for the weather.
