About this Event
BEING SEEN: How our Union with God Informs our Parenting
Developments in Neuropsychology have confirmed what the Catholic Church has known for millennia: We are relational beings. Attachment between parents and children leads to better self regulation, executive function, and healthy attachments to others. In the midst of the family schedule that is often filled with sports practices, homework, parent obligations, emotional needs and behavioral challenges, how do we maintain this attachment to our children? It is recognizing their inherent goodness and need for connection.
Please join us as Rob and Esther Dunn share some of their experiences in navigating the different phases of development while pursuing attachment with their children.
Our Speakers
Rob and Esther Dunn both grew up in Christian Protestant families and met as undergrad students at Claremont McKenna where Rob studied government and economics and Esther majored in music. Rob graduated from University of Chicago Law School. He practices commercial litigation and has a special interest in defending religious liberty. Esther trained and worked as an emergency medicine physician for 13 years and currently works part time in urgent care.
