Chakap Baba-Nyonya, together with the National Library, presents **Being Peranakan** with the National Library Board at **2pm on Sunday 24th August. **
The thought-provoking topic “Being Peranakan: Who Truly Belongs?” will be explored. Moderated by Prof Margaret Chan, academic, actor and historian, the notion of “**Does being born and bred in Singapore make you a Peranakan?**” will be discussed with representatives from the Indian Peranakan (Chitty) Association; The ArabNetwork@SG; and the Eurasian Association and our own CBN member Ronney Tan.
As part of the audience engagement, please bring an item dear to your heritage as a Show-and-Tell sharing of stories. We will end the session with a singalong and Makan Kechik.
