Hans Massaquoi grew up Black in Nazi Germany and escaped to the U.S., later working alongside Muhammad Ali during the Civil Rights era. The film explores his childhood friendship with Ralph Giordano, a Jewish boy who survived the Holocaust, and their reunion years later, by which time both had gone on to remarkable careers” Massaquoi as a leading journalist and Giordano as a renowned writer and publicist.
