About this Event
What really happens behind the barrier tape?
Join The Crime Scene Insiders in this special extensive workshop, that goes under the barrier tape of air disaster investigations.
Ex-Crime Scene Investigators and Disaster Response Consultants Angela Davies and Dionne Watson, will be drawing on their experience, using Flight MH17 as a case study, a crash they were involved in for the best part of 2 years.
Dionne and Angela will walk us through this disaster from the outset, exploring disaster types, what happens when an incident first occurs and the work that goes on, way beyond the initial response. They will deep dive into DVI processes and the management of other aspects of disaster work that often gets overlooked including family liaison and personal effects.
This session will go beyond the headlines. Instead, the focus will be on the more challenging and often graphic realities of disaster investigation.
Expect an honest and fascinating look at disaster work from people who have actually done it.
This will be an interactive workshop, with opportunities to ask questions and discuss real investigative processes in a small group setting.
