About this Event
Behaviour in Practice is a three-day professional conference presented by the Saskatoon SPCA, taking place June 19 to 21, 2026, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The conference brings together veterinarians, veterinary technicians, dog trainers, shelter and rescue professionals, pet professionals, and others working in animal welfare.
This event focuses on humane, science-based approaches to animal behaviour and care, with an emphasis on practical application. Sessions will explore the connection between behaviour, physical health, learning, environment, and welfare, offering tools and insights that professionals can apply in their daily work.
The conference will feature keynote presentations, educational sessions, and panel discussions led by experienced professionals from veterinary medicine, animal training, and related fields. Continuing Education credits will be available for select professions.

- Friday, June 19: Welcome reception with cocktails and appetizers, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
- Saturday, June 20: Conference sessions from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
