Argentine tango teachers Diego Lanau and Alejandra Saravia are back in the Bay Area and are teaching at the Berkeley City Club for three dates only! Everyone is welcome to join us for the beginner class. Diego and Alejandra's classes are challenging and fun, emphasizing dance technique and communication between partners.
No partner necessary; the teachers encourage people to switch partners throughout the class.
These classes are taught using the terms “leaders” and “followers,” and are inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people.
Wednesdays, April 29th, May 6th, and May 13th
6:45 pm: check-in
7:00-8:00 pm beginning tango
8:00-8:30 pm practica
The practicas are included with the classes. Stay, dance, and ask questions!

Drinks are for sale at Morgan’s Bar and Lounge, across the hall from the ballroom. All ages are welcome in the dance classes. We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. For bike parking, use the bell to enter through the service entrance, and go straight to get to the back courtyard. No parking in the City Club lot. Street parking is free after 6:00 pm.
