We are excited to host Angela Gilpin for our fourth series ("the seniors") of Beginning Knitting classes! The "seniors" will be learning mosaic knitting is a simple way to knit with two colors and create bold patterns - without having to juggle multiple yarns at the same time. You work with only one color per row, which makes the technique much easier than other types of colorwork. By working with one color at a time and relying on slipped stitches, knitters can create complex-looking designs with this simple technique. It's an excellent method for building confidence and expanding creative possibilities in your knitting. The first class in this series is scheduled for January 17th 10am-1pm then return for class #2 on January 20th 5-8pm to finish your project with Angela
This series is open to new knitters in addition to those who attended any of our other class series. If you attended our first, second, or third series of knitting classes you will need to bring your kit, Angela will provide the yarn and instruction to complete the beautiful cowl identified in the photo corresponding with your "grade".
If you haven't previously attended any of the classes with Angela you are welcome to sign up for this series, but you will need to select the "kit" option. As "freshman" knitters you will, over the 2 classes (with some homework), create the ribbed cowl in the "Freshman Project" picture.
We'll be sipping tea while knitting and purling with Angela
