About this Event
Learn to liven up textile with embroidery, the ornamentation of cloth with thread. In the same way that every word is made of letters, every embroidered design is made up of individual stitches. The secret is knowing how to put them together. In this class students will learn the basic stitches needed to create their own designs, but even these simple stitches by themselves can be used to great effect!All materials needed for this class will be provided.

Instructor Cirrus Wood is a self-taught artisan who enjoys coming up with and learning new techniques to make clothing more visually appealing and more durable. He runs the mending and tailoring business Dollars & Yen which came about after years of casually combining elements of both Japanese and American design in his own wardrobe.
