About this Event
Create a canvas to be framed or bring your own journal to cover with personal affirmations and images while learning about collage, sourcing materials, and various techniques, styles, and inspirations.
Join local artist, Laura Davidson, and use her personal “paper stash” in your creation and/or bring any personal items or papers with sentimental value to incorporate in your work. Colorful magazines? Vintage Cookbook? Color images you love? Please bring them along to use! Anything goes!
Appropriate for all skill levels and each person will leave with a unique piece of art on canvas to hang in a frame or a journal cover to enjoy every day.
Cost: $50 and includes all supplies, including a wide variety of papers and mark making tools. If you would like to cover a journal, please bring your own.
About Laura Davidson:
Laura Davidson is a mixed-media artist inspired by nature, color, and words. A former art teacher and graphic designer, she encourages creativity, exploration, and authentic self-expression through art. Her collage and painting work combines layers of paint, vintage papers, texture, and imagery, often beginning with a simple idea, word, or theme and evolving organically in her studio.
