Join artist Arti Chauhan for a fun and relaxing beginner-friendly watercolor session. Arti is a professional artist with years of painting in watercolor, especially animals and birds.
In this class, you’ll get familiar with watercolor materials and learn essential techniques such as wet-on-wet, dry brush, layering, and color lifting.
Watch Arti paint a charming hedgehog in a meadow, then create your own adorable watercolor to take home!
No prior experience is needed — the class is designed especially for complete beginners or those returning to painting after a break.Of course, if you already paint but want to explore watercolor (and who can resist painting cute animals?), you’re very welcome too!
When:
Tuesday 11 November, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm (Workshop lasts about 90 minutes, with some extra time to chat and share your work)

Art Space, Festival Place, Basingstoke (next to Iceland)
Paid parking available in Festival Place car park

For safety around artworks in the Art Gallery, hot drinks are not allowed inside the Art Space — but feel free to enjoy cake!

Limited to 4–6 participants — ideal for beginners. Book early to avoid disappointment
