Local winemaker and teacher Jean-Paul Trijsburg will be leading this hands-on pruning workshop.
You will learn the basics of fruit tree pruning, but more importantly you will also get the opportunity to prune fruit trees on the day, putting what you have learned into practice immediately!
Last year our beginners workshop saw people go from delicately trimming off 1-2cm per branch to gaining confidence and getting ruthless with the pruning saw by the end of the session!
We thank St James Parish School for hosting us for this workshop, and hope that their orchard of fruit trees enjoy the haircut.
Bring your own secatuers and pruning equipment if you have any, there will be a limited amount of equipment available for those who don't have any.
Please wear sturdy shoes and warm clothes.
We will have access to toilets and shelter, but the bulk of the day will be spend outside, obviously!
