In these beginner-friendly, half-day classes, you’ll explore both 2D wool pictures and 3D felted models, mastering texture, shaping, and smooth colour blending.All materials are provided, and each month you’ll leave with new skills plus the confidence to practice at home. Perfect for anyone curious about fibre art—no experience needed!
Each month will build on skills you have learnt the month before.
July – 3D Mushrooms
Step into the world of 3D creations with the iconic Fly Agaric. Using only your hands, learn how to shape and sculpt wool fibres—no wires required—bringing your mushroom to life in three dimensions.
August – 2D Waterfall Picture
Inspired by summer holidays, design a beautiful scenic waterfall. Explore techniques for felting flowing water as it tumbles over rocks, creating movement and texture in your piece.
Good to know:
The venue has parking. Upon arrival, park in the car park at the front of the shop. Unload your vehicle into your classroom. Staff will then advise you where to park your car for the day at the rear of the complex.
There is disabled parking and ramps allowing access to all areas. There is a disabled toilet.
Staff will help anyone in need of assistance. Shop on site selling an enormous range of goods relating to crafting: dressmaking, patchwork & quilting, knitting & crochet, sewing machines and furniture.
There is a coffee shop on site called O for Coffee. Attendees at our classes are visited by coffee shop staff regularly throughout the day to take any orders. Anything consumed during your day is sold at a 10% discount. As well as a large choice of hot and cold drinks, the menu comprises savoury choices including sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and soups. For those with a sweet tooth, there is a selection of cakes and scones made in-house with gluten-free and vegan options.
