A beginner's navigation course for anyone who is looking to learn/improve route planning, who wants to feel more confident and safer when out walking and who wants to be able to follow a map without getting lost. Basic navigation skills help you plan sensible routes and get round safely, especially if you love to walk alone. You will enjoy yourself more and get more out of every walk by having just a bit of extra knowledge. You will be able to explore further without needing others to show you.
This is a fun course, based mainly outdoors, having a go and working together to develop and practice new skills. The route will be around the pretty town and hills of Llandovery in Carmarthenshire. We will start and finish at Books at the Dragon's Garden on the High St.
I have recently delivered several navigation courses for The Outdoor Partnership alongside Welcome in the Wild and have a (NNAS) Navigation Silver Award.
