About this Event
Join us as we dive into the world of Kinusaiga, a no sew patchwork workshop! Perfect for beginners wanting to dive into more fiber art without any sewing hassle. No experience needed.
Originating in Japan in the late 80's, this art form was created to repurpose leftover kimono silk. Inspired by Kimekomi doll-making, which was created by Tadashige Takahashi at the Kamigamo Shrine in Kyoto. This artform has evolved and modified over the years and has become a great way to repurose left over scraps.
All supplies will be provided. We will have some idea's for designs but we encourage you to dream up or create a design that you love!
We encourage you to bring any leftover fabric scraps you may like to use or have a specific vision! We will also have plenty of scraps to use.
This workshop will begin promptly at 6:00pm. We encourage you to arrive on time out of courtesy for other crafters and to not miss any instructions!
