About this Event
Join artist and designer Soofiya for this free hands-on intro to bookbinding workshop. There will be an introduction to book making, and you'll be shown some simple bookbinding stitches you can do at home to make your own zines, notebooks and sketchbooks, including saddle stitch and Japanese stab stitch binding.
You'll leave with some finished books and a bookbinding kit you can take home with you.
Please note that these workshops are only for LGBTQIA+ residents who are on low-income or experiencing financial hardship or social isolation during the cost-of-living crisis.

ABOUT SOOFIYA
Soofiya is a visual artist and design lecturer whose work explores ideas around race, gender and bodies. Most of Soof’s clients are in the arts and culture sector, with Soofiya’s art and design practice centring around illustration, visual identity and book design.
