Saturday, April 25th from 9am to 2pmThe course is designed to prepare new beekeepers with the skills needed to start and maintain their hives in the first year.
Topics include:
Installing nucleus colonies/package bees
Nutrition
Health
And Apiary set up
We will have presentations from seasoned beekeepers from our community.
This class fills up fast!
Class investment $50 per person, must register on-line or at the store by April 20th!
We need to keep a head count for food!

Day of class expectation:
Registration starts at 8am
Classes begin at 9am
Lite lunch served at noon.
Followed by field lab at 1pm!
Then we break into the hands on part: the field lab: bee sure to bring suit, hive tool, smoker, gloves!
Don't have these? We can help! Come with time to purchase these. They are NOT required, but will prevent you from getting stung during the session!
We will have equipment sales and live bees for sale! We encourage you to bring a lounge chair!!! We are running out of chairs! Plus you'll be more comfortable in a lounge chair;)
